A Single Family Contributes $10 per month (equivalent to $120 per year)

Why $10 Matters

  • If 1,000 people donate $10/month, that’s $10,000 each month available for Janaza services.
  • A small amount from many ensures sustainability and dignity for all.

We seek funding to support the establishment and operation of a Muslim Janaza Service Program—especially for those who are unaffiliated, low-income, or without family, OR ANYONE IN THE COMMUNITY

This program is rooted in the Prophetic tradition of honoring the deceased and ensuring every Muslim receives a dignified burial regardless of their financial status.

Our vision is to build a trusted and sustainable Janaza service that becomes a cornerstone of Muslim communities, ensuring every believer receives a dignified Islamic burial. We strive to create a future where no family faces hardship or uncertainty in arranging a funeral, where compassion and community support ease grief, and where faith, respect, and unity guide the final rites of every Muslim.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide compassionate, dignified, and Shariah-compliant Janaza funeral services that support grieving families with care, efficiency, and respect. We aim to ease the burden during difficult times by offering guidance, affordable arrangements, and seamless coordination with mosques, cemeteries, and community organizations. Through our service, we ensure every Muslim is honored with a proper Islamic farewell, regardless of financial means.

We are seeking:

  • Grant funding from Islamic foundations
  • In-kind donations (vehicle, burial plots, supplies)

All contributions go directly to burial-related services. We are a registered nonprofit organization

How It Works

  • Contribution: Just $10 a month (automatically withdrawn).
  • Community Support: Donations are pooled together to cover Janaza (funeral) expenses for those in need.
  • Transparency: 100% of donations go directly to Janaza services — burial, transportation, and funeral arrangements.
  • Blessings (Sadaqah Jariyah): Your contribution continues to benefit you as ongoing charity.

Integrity of Janaza Funds

  1. Purpose of Janaza Funds
  • The funds are strictly collected for Islamic funeral and burial services.
  • They are not to be used for unrelated programs, salaries (unless directly tied to funeral service work), or personal use.
  • The primary purpose is to ensure that every Muslim receives a dignified burial, regardless of financial ability.
  1. Accountability & Transparency
  • Clear Record Keeping: All donations must be recorded (cash, online, or bank transfers) with receipts.
  • Separate Bank Account: A dedicated Janaza Fund account prevents misuse or mixing with other funds.
  • Audits & Reports: Annual financial reports should be prepared and, ideally, audited by a third party.
  • Donor Communication: Donors should be informed about how their contributions are used.
  1. Governance & Oversight
  • Fund Management Committee: A small, trusted group (e.g., mosque board, funeral committee) should oversee collections and disbursements.
  • Dual Authorization: At least two authorized signatories should approve withdrawals to prevent misuse.
  • Policies in Writing: Written policies on who qualifies for assistance, how much can be allocated per funeral, and emergency protocols.
  1. Preventing Misuse
  • No Personal Borrowing: Funds cannot be loaned or borrowed for personal use.
  • Emergency Use Only: Money is strictly for funeral-related expenses, not for family debts or unrelated community projects.
  • Regular Review: Periodic review of fund flow to ensure compliance with Islamic ethics and legal standards.
  1. Building Trust in the Community
  • Public Updates: Share summaries (not personal details) of how many funerals were supported each year+ monthly reports as well
  • Open-Book Policy: donors/ members may request financial transparency.
  • Encourage Recurring Donations: Trustworthy handling increases long-term sustainability through regular donations.
